John Carter founded the J. P. Carter Company, Inc. in 1993 as an independent, employee benefits insurance agency after training with the largest insurance brokerage firm in America. Large brokerage firms have their niche, most notably the Fortune 500 players. We see our strengths differently.We are considered in the insurance industry as a “boutique” insurance shop with highly qualified, professional employee benefit agents that act more as consultants than agents. With that in mind, we believe in a trust relationship with our clients, and hope to serve our clients with products they need to fulfill their employees’ expectations for a benefit plan that can be unique to the employee’s financial needs. And, since we have fewer clients by design (the “boutique” concept), we can bring forth a different strategy in representing our clients’ needs in the marketplace and in servicing our clients.
